Yo from Nova Scotia!
We whipped through New Brunswick but enjoyed the coast until Shediac and then headed to the east to find Marg's brother and his wife--Norm and Judith. They live about 45 minutes from Halifax, but work there. Norm has just be asked to be Dean of Computer Studies on an interim basis for up to two years.
They live in the country because Judith likes to ride horses which she has done since her childhood in Stayner, ON. She has two horses on the property and another boardin near Wolfville. One could get lost out here and drive in circles for weeks! One goes up the hill and around the corner to look at another farm and beautifully leaved trees. There is no marker because the water is not visible over the trees.
Nights will be a little nicer now that we know how to turn on the furnace. There have only been a few nights where warm air from a furnace would have been nice. The rain here is incredibly proliferous when it rains and again there have not been too many rainy days.
We hope your Thanksgiving will be full of thanks because we really do have a great deal to be thankful for in our great big country. Here we are over 6 000 kms away from home and all the people that we have encountered have been helpful and friendly. We miss our dear friends that we left behind and hope all is well at your home this Thanksgiving and in the near future. The turkey will show up for dinner on Saturday.
I am using a dialup connection that is so very slow that I am not going to attempt pictures.
Sunday Marg and I will drive to Digby to catch the ferry to the mainland on the other side of the Bay of Fundy. Rumor has it that this ferry will be permanently cancelled. This is a three hour ride.
Get your passports ready as in a few days we will enter Maine.
Cheers
